Beth Claes is the Director of Counseling at New Heights Church in Vancouver, Washington. She has a doctorate in psychology and practiced from a traditional psychological perspective for 10 years before shifting to a gospel-centered counseling approach. In addition to leading New Heights Counseling, Beth is a trainer for ABC and has written several articles for The Gospel Coalition. She is married and has three children.

Aaron & Angi Greene have been married for 30 years and are blessed with two sons, one daughter, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law. As biblical counselors at Salem Heights Church for over fifteen years, they consider it a great privilege to counsel individuals and couples, pointing them to the hope found in Christ. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with their family and being outdoors.
Justin Greene

Justin Greene is a compassionate pastor and counselor at Salem Heights Church, where he has served as Senior Pastor for the past 20 years. With a heart for those navigating loss, he has personally walked alongside many individuals and families through the difficult journey of grief, offering guidance, comfort and hope rooted in Jesus Christ.
Having experienced profound grief in his own life, Justin knows firsthand the deep pain of loss. His personal battle with cancer has not only shaped his understanding of suffering but has also deepened his ability to empathize with others facing similar challenges. Through his own journey, he has gained invaluable insights into the process of healing, resilience, and the transformative power of Christ’s community.

John serves as an associate pastor at University Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas, primarily overseeing the counseling and care ministries of the church. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, John went on to complete both his master’s and doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Texas.
In 2020, John joined the biblical counseling faculty of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as a council board member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition, and as a board member of the Association of Biblical Counselors and Frontlines Ministries. By God’s grace he has written Equipped to Counsel, a training curriculum in biblical counseling, Catching Foxes, a book for marriage preparation, and a number of articles, booklets, and book chapters. John and his wife Ruth have been blessed with five delightful children and live in northwest Arkansas.

Angie Hilker is a wife, mother of five, professor at a Christian university, and a devoted chai latte enthusiast. She has spent 25 remarkable years serving in both local church and parachurch ministry. Throughout that time, she pursued her education by attending Bible college and seminary, eventually earning her doctorate. Her years of experience and academic study have cultivated a deep Biblical literacy and a strong ministry mindset, along with a passionate love for Jesus, His people, and His church.

Breakout – How to Create a Culture of Care and Counseling in the Local Church
Lee is married to Andrea, and they have four children, Luke, Abel, Leah, and Miriam. Lee and his family live in Austin, Texas, where he is Pastor of Soul Care Ministries at Radiant Church while also serving as a consultant for Soul Care Consulting. He began pastoral and counseling ministry in 2005 at The Village Church for nearly 10 years. He then spent three years in Canada where he served as the Pastor of Biblical Soul Care in Muskoka. He is a
member of the Association of Biblical Counselors and a council board member for the Biblical Counseling Coalition.
Matt MacCollin
Breakout – Responding to Crisis Situations in the Church
Pastor Matt MacCollin has been the director of The Most Excellent Way International since June of 2020. TMEW is a ministry that helps churches have gospel-centered, biblically-based victory over addiction support meetings. God rescued Pastor Matt out of addiction in 1987. His wife and her grandmother had been praying for God to change his heart and He answered with “yes.” Since coming to Salem Heights Church in 1988, their ministry together in the early years was to high school students. Pastor Matt has been on full-time staff at Salem Heights Church since 2001 and has worn many ministry hats over the years. Pastoring the college age and men’s ministry to the business administration of the church, he has led in many facets of ministry and through it all has been an effective biblical counselor.
Chris Minott
Breakout – Understanding and Breaking Free from Codependency
Chris Minott serves as the Soul Care and Counseling Director at Summit Church, an ABC Training Center, in Fort Myers, Florida. She has 25 years of experience counseling a wide range of issues for marriages, women, and teens, and 12 years of experience training counselors for biblical counseling certification, first with ACBC and then with ABC. She equips leaders and church members to utilize biblical counseling truths to disciple and care for one another in the local church. Chris also assists Al, her husband of 39 years and Pastor of Care, in leading the Re|Engage marriage ministry at Summit Church. Her favorite thing to do is to spend time with their two daughters and sons-in-law and their 4 grandchildren.
Pete Potloff

Pete Potloff serves as the Executive Pastor at Salem Heights Church in Salem, Oregon. In addition to being a part of the pastoral team, he oversees the Biblical Counseling ministry and is an instructor in their Equipped to Counsel training program which trains individuals from churches throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. He is also a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors. He and his wife Holly have three children, Jamin, Jase, and Kyla.
Kristin Silva Linder
Breakout – Wisdom Adorns the Disgraced
Kristin Silva Linder is a biblical counselor based in Portland, OR, where she counsels full-time and mentors aspiring counselors through internships and consulting. Before settling in Portland, Kristin earned a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Westminster Seminary California and trained with the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF). She finds deep fulfillment in nurturing new counselors’ wisdom and skill, equipping them to guide others with compassion and grace anchored in biblical truth. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband Larry, and their playful Corgi, Maggilou. She also delights in nurturing relationships with her grown stepchildren, experimenting in the kitchen, and enjoying the beauty of the world around her.
Curtis Solomon

Breakout – Demystifying PTSD
Curtis Solomon is the Executive Director of the Biblical Counseling Coalition. His passion for biblical counseling was sparked in 1999 during his first biblical counseling course at The Master’s College (now University), where he went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. Curtis has developed and applied his passion for biblical counseling in church, parachurch, and academic contexts. He holds several advanced degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, including a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Philosophy. Curtis is an Air Force veteran and former employee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. His military background inspired his doctoral research on Post Traumatic Stress. Curtis is a certified biblical counselor and serves as Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of Biblical Counseling at Boyce College. He is the author of Redeem Your Marriage: Hope for Husbands Who Have Hurt through Pornography and I Have PTSD: Reorienting After Trauma. He and his wife, Jenny, were married in 2003 and have two delightful sons.
Shauna Van Dyke
Breakout – God’s Faithfulness: Renewed Hope in the Depths of Despair
Shauna Van Dyke is a certified biblical counselor and the co-founder of Truth Renewed, a ministry that provides free biblical counseling to the community. She also serves as a podcast host on Speak the Truth, is the Strategic Advisor and oversees special projects for ABC. Her desire is for everyone to have a deep love for God and devotion to Scripture, while walking in a manner pleasing to the Lord, being dependent on the Spirit, living in authentic community, and enjoying an intimate relationship with Christ. Alongside her husband, Michael, she desires to work with churches to cultivate a culture of care and leadership. She has two sons, Jaxson and Dustin, and a new daughter-in-love Brea.
